On 3 September 2026, more than 160 scholars, experts and cultural representatives from 28 countries met in the Issyk-Kul Region of the Kyrgyz Republic during the 6th World Nomad Games.
The conference, “Nomadic Civilization: Heritage, Paradigms and Prospects,” considered cultural heritage preservation, traditional music, oral traditions, handicrafts, cultural memory and community-based transmission.
IOV World President Professor Chen Ping contributed an address centred on international cooperation, youth participation and innovation, connecting the future of living heritage with practitioners, communities and younger generations.
