Colores del mundo is a worldwide celebration of the dance arts that takes
place in various municipalities in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Since the
year 2010. FICM has been a contributing platform for the development of
cultural and artistic spaces that are easily accessible by many surrounding
towns. Founded by profesor Juan Francisco Magana Aguilar, this festival is
born to broadcast the various dance expressions of different countries in
the communities of the state of Jalisco, it is also a platform used for
interactions and cultural exchange between the participants and the public
that come and enjoy the shows. FICM characterizes itself for bringing the
viewer high quality national and international artistic work, also promoting
interactions between the diverse groups.
Participation general basis:
Please send clear and complete information for the coordination of the
garanties of presentacion and lodging accommodation for the group
depends on this, so that you may have the best lodging and participation
experience in the festival. We ask that the dates established for the
documentation are respected in order to arrange corresponding formalities
and guarantee your participation.
Organized by:
Pasión y desarrollo de México A.C. in coalition with the ballets folclóricos
“El Huizache”, “Real de Jalisco” and the “Compañía Intermunicipal de
folclore”.
1. The X international “COLORES DEL MUNDO” festival will take place
from april 10th through the 16th 2023, in various municipalities of the state
of Jalisco, Mexico.
2. Without exception all international groups participating should
plan their arrival at the international airport of the city of Guadalajara
“Miguel Hidalgo ” from there the festival will trasport the group to the
official headquarters.
2.1 All International groups should arrive at Guadalajara on april 9 during
the daytime to be installed and rest at the headquarters hotel, departure
should be planned for the day time on the 17.
2.2 Groups that would like to extend their stay in Mexico, our organizing
team can collaborate with contacting other festivals that may accommodate
you. Nevertheless your participation in other festivals is not the
responsibility of Colores Del Mundo, for that matter the group will need to
coordinate conditions of participation with the directives of the other
festival.
3. The maximum number of participating members for each group is 26
people between musicians, dancers and directors.
3.1 People who are not indispensable in the execution of cultural activities
will not be allowed.
4. Without exception all dance delegations must bring live music as an
essential requirement for their participation.
4.1 The technical specifications are for a standard 8 by 10 meters stage, for
dancers, plus extra stage space for musicians. Sufficient lighting and sound
equipment in all performances. *
5. Musical groups are asked to send information on the technical
requirements needed, such as number of microphones and instrument
outputs, by march 20 2023.
6. Artistic presentations
6.1 At opening and closing each group has a maximum of 10 minutes for
choreography.
6.2 Each night group has a 45 minute show.
6.3 Groups that do not comply with stipulated times will be penalized
and further presentations will be canceled. *
*6.3 Each group must develop 2 charity presentations during the course of
the festival, at orphanages, schools or senior homes, etc..
6.4 A gala will be developed with some of the participating groups in an
important city theater, in accordance with the artistic and logistical
necessities that arise, the participants are chosen each year by the
organization committee.
6.5 During the festival, each group has one rest day that will be assigned
for tourist activities in the city or to rest at the hotel.
7. All selected and officially invited groups must send a recent passport
size photo of each member no later than march 20 2023. Furthermore we
ask that you send a photocopy passport to ensure corresponding migration
formalities for your stay in our country.
8. Travel itinerary should be sent by march 1 2023.
Arrival and departure travel itinerary:
– Name of the airline or transport you use.
– Flight number
– Time
– Route
● Festival activities will begin with a press conference on Monday 10 at
8:30 a.m.
● Any additional information will be provided at the request of each
group.
9. Group seleccion
9.1 If your group meets the participation requirements and is in agreement
with them, we ask that you send the following information to
danzacoloresdelmundo@gmail.com no later than August 10 2022:
● 2 to 3 youtube links with a minimum duration of 10 minutes where
you showcase the group’s artistic work.
● 5 high resolution photos of the entire group.
● 2 high resolution photos of a couple from the group.
● Company or Ballet curriculum.
● Commitment letter of participation in case of being selected.
10. Garaties
For admitted and officially admitted groups that comply with all
requirements of this call in a timely manner, the organization garaties food
(3 meals a day), hotel stay and all terrestrial transportation necessary
from your arrival until your departure from the Guadalajara airport, in
accordance to previously established dates with the organization; the
festival will provide identifications, will deliver corresponding participation
certificates, as well as festival reminders.
